The STEM – DIGITALIS project aimed to strengthen the digital skills of future science teachers in response to the challenges highlighted by the pandemic. Distance learning demonstrated the need for digital support, especially in STEM subjects that require practical interaction. The project aimed to design and implement blended and distance learning environments, utilizing innovative digital scenarios. Teaching strategies promoting the effective use of technologies, an open educational platform, guidelines, and recommendations for strengthening digital STEM teaching were developed. Deliverables include digital scenarios, an open resource platform, and recommendations for educational policy-making. A summer school was held in Crete (Summer 2022) as well as international online seminars for future teachers and academics. The results include the improvement of the digital skills of future teachers, the enhancement of the quality of science teaching, and the dissemination of the results at the European level.
