Emily Michailidi is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Primary Education of the University of Crete, specializing in Science Education. She has participated as a member of the project team in European research programs and is currently the Principal Investigator of a project funded by the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation (H.F.R.I.). She has published in international journals and presented her work at international conferences. Her research work focuses on the development of science teaching identity, the professional development of in-service teachers on contemporary research topics and informal science education.
